There is an innocence to those first best friends. We shared secrets, complained about parents, chores. We thought we would live forever, always close and supportive of each other.

Then life made other plans. We grew up. We moved. We lost touch. But in our memory bank we still hold the wonder of those special times.

That is what we can focus on as we create our Last Gift Box- the memories we want to share with our kids and friends. The books we own that are just books until we tell our kids where those books took us. This tea cup is a pretty old thing until I tell you my great grandmother carried it in her bag on her voyage from Ireland to her new life in Iowa.

Be sure to write or share your stories about the WHYS of your life. It will be your best gfit.
