GIVE YOUR BRAIN TIME TO CREATE

We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be.

Jane Austen

Great plans need to percolate.

I use to think it was important to make a plan and execute. Get it done. I now realize it is more valuable to make a plan and let it germinate awhile. Give the brain time and space to think of new twits, better options. The original plan becomes clearer and more dynamic, fits the objectives I have. I feel more at ease with the plan. It fits me.

Scientists have found that when we complete a task the brain stops thinking about it.

Check that off the list.

However, if we have a plan percolating the brain keeps thinking how to expand, change, enrich, redo the plan. New ideas pop up.

Given the now clear guide to what I want to accomplish and where I want to go, I can set a realistic time line, not an arbitrary one. I am calmer, more confident. I will achieve my goal.

Try it!

Take your idea of how to complete your Last Gift Box. Remove your feeling of being overwhelmed. Write down your plan. Go about your life and give your brain a chance to

think how to tweak the plan. Return to it in a few days, weeks, even a month later.

Use your new ideas to update the plan so it fits YOU.

Then begin!
